Prisum Healthcare Advances Patient Outcomes: From Medical Education to Strategic Investment in Human Plasma Collection June 2025

Prisum Healthcare, in partnership with the Zetta Association, has actively supported the organization of the “Transplant Procurement Management” (TPM) course, one of the world’s most advanced training programmes in the field, held for the first time in Romania, in Sibiu.

TPM is internationally recognized for its rigorous curriculum designed for professionals involved in the organ donation and transplantation process. With the support of the Romanian National Transplant Agency (ANT), the official organizer, Romania has marked a new milestone in the development of its transplant system, an essential pillar of modern medicine that saves thousands of lives annually.

The event was held during the National Meeting of Transplant Coordinators and Key Donation Persons (KDP), bringing together medical professionals for three days of training and exchange.

At the invitation of ANT, and in collaboration with Spain’s DTI Foundation, international experts from Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, and Romania led interactive workshops and presented real-world case studies.

Excellence in Medical Education as a Strategic Priority

By supporting this elite international programme (organized with the contribution of the Zetta Association), Prisum Healthcare reaffirms its mission to contribute to the professionalization of Romania’s medical network and continues its long-term commitment to its development.

Looking ahead, the company plans to acquire human plasma collection centers in Germany, with further expansion into Romania and Greece based on German expertise and technology, once the regulatory landscape allows.

Prisum Healthcare has also expressed its readiness to actively engage with relevant stakeholders to support the implementation of European legislation in this field and ensure alignment with the highest standards of safety, quality, and ethics.

An Integrated Vision, Centered on the Patient

Through strategic investments, international partnerships, and sustained support for professional training, Prisum Healthcare positions itself as a reliable partner to healthcare systems in Romania, Greece, and across Europe. The ultimate objective remains unchanged: ensuring timely, safe, and equitable access to life-saving therapies for all patients.

Prisum Healthcare is a responsible partner in the implementation of the new European regulatory framework, from human plasma collection to the advancement of specialized medical education. All our efforts to diversify and expand the business are focused on a single beneficiary: the patient,” said Ionela Nicolau, CEO of Prisum Healthcare.

Prisum Healthcare’s support for the TPM programme in Sibiu reflects not only a one-time involvement but a coherent and responsible vision for healthcare. The company’s planned acquisitions in Germany, followed by future expansion in Romania and Greece, mark the beginning of a new phase, one in which Prisum Healthcare contributes to the development of the health system, with direct impact on patient survival and quality of life.
